Job Summary
Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer with over 7 years of hands-on experience in building scalable high-quality web applications using Java and Angular. As a senior developer you will play a key role in the design development and maintenance of both the frontend and backend components of our enterprise-grade platforms.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot REST APIs) and Angular.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers UX designers and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior developers through code reviews pair programming and technical guidance.
- Implement unit testing integration testing and participate in CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize applications for performance scalability and security.
- Define our next unit and integration test frameworks and standards.
- Ensure we have the proper tools in place so that we can ensure our applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities and we follow standard security practices.
- Design and develop highly complex and custom components.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve production issues effectively.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Location: Halifax Nova Scotia Canada (Alternate locations: Moncton Fredericton Stratford or St. Johns)
- Hybrid: 3-4 days required in office weekly
- 7 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot Hibernate).
- Expert-level knowledge of Angular (preferably v10) TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of RESTful web services and API design.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB).
- Familiarity with Git Jenkins Docker and other DevOps tools.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of AWS cloud platform.
- Good to have experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools like GitLab CI/CD etc.
