Were looking for a Employee Benefits Account Tech to support our agency in critical support services upholding Winter-Dents reputation for excellent customer service and partnering with Account Managers to help execute the servicing of benefit accounts.
WHAT YOULL DO
Administrative Support
- Assist with member requests including obtaining and sending ID cards
- Provide back-up support to the Administrative Assistant (client documentation mailings etc.)
- Follow up on claims for insured groups
Captive Support
- Serve as the main contact for Total Care Health captive members and plan administrators
- Pull and organize captive claim reports for the Captive Account Manager
Claim Management
- Manage billing issues on behalf of members and HR representatives
- Communicate with carriers regarding EOBs invoices claim status and resubmissions
- Act as the primary point of contact for group claim inquiries
- Generate and file monthly claim reports in company network folders
- Process notices of cancellation and reinstatement
- Review carrier websites for payment updates on pending accounts as assigned
Front Desk & Client Service
- Participate in the Front Desk Coverage team including answering routed phone calls
- Provide coverage for daily lunch hours mail runs and PTO absences
- Greet and direct callers ensuring a positive first impression of the agency
- Identify opportunities to refer clients or prospects to other departments and services
Team & System Support
- Document all client interactions in the agencys CRM system (Applied EPIC)
- Support the Employee Benefits department during challenges implementations and capacity constraints
- Contribute to departmental and agency-wide meetings as needed
Agency Ambassador
- Represent the agency with a global mindset and client-first approach
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and business goals

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- You have your Life & Health license upon hire or to be obtained within 90 days of employment
- Industry experience preferred but not

- Proven ability to complete tasks accurately and on time with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while knowing when to seek support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with accounting and operational software and systems
- Experience with database management data analysis and reporting
- Understanding of the insurance industry or commission-based financial structures
- Youre positive professional respectful and kind
