Job Summary
Womens Health Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner. The ideal candidate will have solid gynecology experience and antepartum intrapartum and postpartum experience that includes patients with varying medical conditions. We are also looking for someone who possesses a strong team spirit.
Job Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat acute episodic or chronic illnesses.

Prescribe necessary medications and treatments.

Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients.

Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.

Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care.

Perform health assessments including thorough history and physical examination.

Order or perform diagnostic tests and evaluate psychosocial and family aspects of care.

Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions.

Promote and maintain family health including periodic health assessments and screenings.

Manage common acute and chronic illnesses minor trauma episodic problems and chronic disorders.

Provide counseling and education regarding health issues.

Perform minor surgical procedures and initiate life-saving procedures in emergencies.
Qualifications
-
Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.

Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required (Washington DC preferred).

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
-
Current BLS certification (or obtained prior to providing direct patient care).

Minimum 3 years experience in the womens health field.
