About the Role:

As a Shopify Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and customising Shopify stores to meet the unique needs of our clients. You will work closely with designers developers and clients to deliver exceptional eCommerce experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shopify Theme Development:

  • Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid to align with client branding and design requirements.

  • Create custom Shopify themes from scratch or modify existing templates to enhance functionality and visual appeal.

  • Ensure themes are responsive and optimized for various devices and browsers.

• Shopify App Development:

  • Design and develop custom Shopify apps to extend the platforms functionality and meet specific business needs.

  • Integrate third-party tools and APIs to enhance the capabilities of Shopify stores.

• Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize Shopify stores for speed SEO and performance to improve user experience and search engine rankings.

  • Implement caching strategies image optimization and other techniques to enhance site speed.

• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

  • Debug and troubleshoot issues related to Shopify themes apps and overall store performance.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify platform updates tools and best practices.

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Shopify stores.

• Client Communication:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements provide updates and address concerns.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver seamless and visually appealing user experiences.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong understanding of Shopifys Liquid templating language.

• Proficiency in HTML CSS and JavaScript.

• Experience with Shopifys theme editor and app development framework.

• Knowledge of web development best practices including SEO and accessibility.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A passion for eCommerce and a desire to stay updated on the latest trends.
