Preschool Special Education Teacher-Full Time
Location: Belmont MA 02478
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
Massachusetts State Certification in PreSchool Special Education.
Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs.
Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and special education laws.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Position Details:
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for preschool students with special needs.
Provide differentiated and developmentally appropriate instruction to meet the diverse needs of preschool students with disabilities.
Work collaboratively with special education staff general education staff therapists and support staff.
Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
Maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians.
Implement positive behavior support strategies and collaborate with the behavioral support team to address challenging behaviors.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes the participation and engagement of all students.
Stay current with best practices in special education and attend relevant professional development opportunities.
