At Johnson Mattheys Savannah site we are at the forefront of sustainable chemical innovation. Our facility located at 115 Eli Whitney Blvd serves as a pivotal hub for developing advanced fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) additives. As a Maintenance Manager you will help drive our goals by:

  • Lead and manage a maintenance team of 6 direct reports with the entire department of 22 fostering a proactive culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies including preventive predictive and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture within the maintenance department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contractors to optimize equipment reliability reduce downtime and improve overall operational performance.
  • Oversee maintenance planning scheduling and resource management to ensure efficient execution of work orders and cost control.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address equipment failures and support long-term site transformation and performance improvement.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Proven experience leading and managing maintenance teams in a complex multi-shift industrial environment ideally within chemical oil & gas or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong technical background with a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and CMRP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge in repair and troubleshooting of industrial assets (pumps compressors instrumentation piping systems) and equipmentpackages (Calciners Spray-Dryers Filter Systems Boilers Solid Handling Package Units etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies including preventive and predictive maintenance with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to manage cross-functional teams contractors and budget responsibilities while driving safety and operational excellence.
