Xylem - Service Manager: 8 direct reports. 5 in Sacramento CA 3 in Fresno CA

Xylem is seeking a Service Manager to lead our high-volume water and wastewater service operations. Youll drive performance lead field service teams across major sites or multiple locations and ensure customers get outstanding resultsevery time.

This role is about action and impact: delivering operational excellence maximizing resources and keeping teams safe efficient and customer-focused in a fast-paced high-demand environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead develop and engage a high-performing field service team through effective talent attraction retention coaching and performance management.

  • Translate customer requirements into workforce plans and objectives while maintaining strong visibility into KPIs metrics and service performance.

  • Oversee departmental budgets manage expenses and drive workforce planning initiatives.

  • Address and resolve employee relations matters while fostering a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with regional resources and stakeholders to ensure alignment operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure product system and water quality standards are met while maintaining appropriate inventory levels across complex or multiple sites.

  • Apply technical and operational expertise to support service excellence and drive long-term business success.

  • Travel is expected between Freson CA and Sacramento CA

  • Support tasks as directed to hit target goals and maintain compliance.

Travel Requirements: Company Vehicle Assigned

  • Some travel required
  • 15-25% overnight travel

Driving Requirements:

  • FMCSA Certificate of Awareness
  • Driver Certificate of Violations
  • Copy of Drivers License

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Requirements: Bachelors degree strongly preferred; or equivalent military experience; or applicable industry equivalent experience in lieu of degree

Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC DISA etc.)
  • Industrial or commercial process water experience required
  • 5 to 7 years of technical work experience or 3 years of industry specific experience Combined with 3 years of leadership/management experience


Skill Requirements:

  • Safety leadership
  • People management ability to communicate up/down/across ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and complex troubleshooting in order to guide and advise team members and customers
  • Ability to defuse situations at a customer or internal issue.
  • Proficiency with computers and business software such as Microsoft Office Skype Oracle/SAP cloud-based solutions

The estimated salary range for this position is $90000 to $120000 plus bonus and company vehicle assignedStarting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package including Medical Dental Vision plans 401(k) with company contribution paid time off paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
