The Role - Financial Operations
As the business scales financial operations must become more efficient automated and future-ready. This role is designed for someone who thrives on ownership enjoys solving operational challenges and wants to build the systems that support growth.
This is not a traditional accounting role. Roughly 60-70% of the work is operational and process-driven with the remaining thirty to forty percent focused on core accounting fundamentals. One day you may be selecting a new ERP system and the next you may be running an audit or resolving a billing issue.
No task is beneath you and no challenge is too large. This role is ideal for someone ambitious who wants to make a lasting impact and accelerate their career trajectory.
What Success Looks Like
- 3 months: Develop a full understanding of the companys financial workflows and systems. Begin automating manual billing and vendor payment processes.
- 6 months: Ship and implement multiple new processes across revenue and payables. Partner with Sales RevOps and Deployment Ops to shorten the month-end close to three days.
- 12 months: Own the financial tooling strategy including ERP billing procurement and reporting. Successfully lead the companys first financial audit end-to-end. Begin building and leading a high-performing team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Automate vendor payments and billing workflows
- Configure ERP and billing integrations (current system is QuickBooks with transition planned to NetSuite or Vellot)
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales Deployment Ops RevOps and Marketing to improve financial decision-making
- Lead financial audits from preparation to execution with Big Four firms
- Spot operational issues before they become major problems and design scalable solutions

- Background: SaaS Tech Big4 Startup finance Rev Ops Billing
- Ownership mindset with the ability to prioritize and execute independently without micromanagement
- Ambitious and kind with a strong desire to grow into a Controller or senior operator role
- Adaptable and scrappy: comfortable entering invoices one day and designing a financial workflow the next
- Accounting fluency: understands accrual accounting and the fundamentals of month-end close even if not CPA-certified
- Technology adaptable: comfortable assessing selecting and implementing new financial systems and tools
- Collaborative communicator who thrives working across teams and with external stakeholders such as auditors
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $100000 to $150000
- Equity participation in the companys stock option plan
- Hybrid work policy: in-office Tuesday through Thursday flexible Monday and Friday
- Office location in San Franciscos Jackson Square
