About this Position

We have a Service Technician position available based at our workshop in Stafford in Brisbane.

Our Service Technicians work with the hardware and software that drive the worlds leading Distracted Driving technology solution. Assembling deploying and supporting a range of fixed and mobile platforms that integrate radar & camera hardware with operating systems and communications software. Our technologies involve equipment installed at the roadside real-time sensor and camera interfaces decision algorithms machine learning based detection algorithms file transfer and monitoring systems web user interfaces and cloud-based infrastructure.

In addition to holding a high level of technical knowledge and fault-finding abilities our Service Technicians will have the ability to plan and organise work to best serve the interest of Acusensus and our Customers.

This role reports into the Project Engineering Lead within the Services Team and has close collaboration with Project Engineers Service Technicians and the Fleet/Asset Manager.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Deployment of Acusensus solutions to the clients schedule
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair activities to our hardware and assets
  • New site surveys to assess the suitability of locations for the deployment of the solution

We would love you to have

  • Tertiary (TAFE or University) qualification or trade in either electronic electrical or computer related fields
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Adaptable and willingness to solve problems without having all the information
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar technical role with demonstrated fault finding and repair skills
  • Must be comfortable with remote roadside fieldwork including working at heights
  • Flexibility to travel at short notice on occasion either regionally (in-state) nationally or internationally
  • Ability to assess impact of incoming requests and prioritise them in a fast paced high-pressure environment
