POSITION SUMMARY
Directs the departments activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Develops and implements departmental goals plans and standards consistent with the clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations including patient care delivery information technologies service level determination and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares monitors and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers clients patients contractors and vendors.
• Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g. HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the work of others including planning assigning scheduling and reviewing work; ensuring quality standards. Responsible for hiring terminating training and developing reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

Education

• Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
• Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education

• Business Mathematical Skills Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Moderate Computer Skills Frequent use of electronic mail word processing data entry spreadsheets graphics etc. Ability to create maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents spreadsheets databases and presentations to support business objectives.
