Opportunities Available

As a Electrical Test R&D Engineering intern at Stryker you will bridge the gap between different engineering disciplines working on everything from automated equipment to robots and even smart devices. Work often involves designing control systems integrating components and ensuring seamless functionality across various engineering domains in Medical engineering field. Knowledge in SW automation using tools such as Python or/and C# to automate uses cases in typical Integrated Operating Room. You will be joining Stryker Endoscopys Test team. We partner closely with the rest of R&D to experiment with early prototypes and vet out product designs throughout the design process. What this really means is we get to be the Mythbusters of our division. Just like the show we quickly design and build fixtures to simulate real life situations. This experimentation is mission critical so we find the issues when we can solve them and prevent them from impacting our customers and ultimately patients. You will directly be making healthcare addition to this hands-on experimentation you will also be responsible for design verification for a subset of the product: from creating initial test plans through test reports that are included in regulatory submissions. Communication and coordination are essential skills as you will share and/or coordinate samples test execution test results and timelines with a cross-functional project team.

What You Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Test engineering experience in a regulated industry

Ability to build collaborative relationships quickly

Familiarity with common electrical test methods and equipment

Strong technical writing skills

Automation experience: preferably LabView python and/or Arduino
