TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Research Ethics Co-Ordinator to join the Research Ethics and Integrity team inTe Khure- Research Office on a permanent part-time contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with the team to support the process of ethics applications for staff and students including arranging meetings of the Human Ethics Committee.
- Coordinate membership of the Human Ethics Committee according to the committees Terms of Reference support the onboarding of new members and maintain accurate data on membership.
- Work with the new Responsible Research/Rangahau Mori cluster to support the development of both teams.
pmanawa - About you
You will be client-focused with excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. You may have some knowledge of or interest in the research process or research ethics specifically and are interested in working in the research support environment. Experience in a tertiary institution would be an advantage. The role would suit someone who wants to work part time in a friendly and high-performing team that has the opportunity to work closely with research students researchers and members of the Human Ethics Committee.
Key requirements:
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Experience in administration or coordination preferably within a University environment.
- Ability to work co-operatively with others in a team setting.
- Proven competence with the Microsoft product suite and ability to learn new systems.
