Roles and Responsibilities

  • On site role mix of lab and office environments. Placed with our Platform Systems Engineering group supporting technology development in capillary electrophoresis microarray and qPCR based diagnostics
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to conduct development for next generation diagnostics instrumentation and workflows
  • Design-prototyping systems integration debugging complex breadboard systems (optical electrical mechanical fluidics software firmware)
  • Perform root cause analysis and refine breadboards and prototypes to meet performance targets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in prototyping systems integration and debugging complex systems
  • Knowledge of genetics tools and workflows (e.g. Sanger sequencing qPCR NGS DNA synthesis)
  • In progress Masters or PhD program in engineering or related discipline preferred
  • In person role; South San Francisco with flexibility to commute Bay Area

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position Sr Intern based inCalifornia is $14.75$55.00.
