Roles and Responsibilities
- On site role mix of lab and office environments. Placed with our Platform Systems Engineering group supporting technology development in capillary electrophoresis microarray and qPCR based diagnostics
- Collaborate with the R&D team to conduct development for next generation diagnostics instrumentation and workflows
- Design-prototyping systems integration debugging complex breadboard systems (optical electrical mechanical fluidics software firmware)
- Perform root cause analysis and refine breadboards and prototypes to meet performance targets
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in prototyping systems integration and debugging complex systems
- Knowledge of genetics tools and workflows (e.g. Sanger sequencing qPCR NGS DNA synthesis)
- In progress Masters or PhD program in engineering or related discipline preferred
- In person role; South San Francisco with flexibility to commute Bay Area

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position Sr Intern based inCalifornia is $14.75$55.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
