Job Summary
Overview:
A Work Instruction Specialist plays a pivotal role at Satellite Suites by ensuring that operational processes are clearly documented communicated and continually improved. This position bridges the gap between subject matter experts and the end users of procedures providing the clarity and consistency needed for safe efficient and high-quality work. The specialist is responsible for creating maintaining and updating work instructions and procedures across various departments within the manufacturing of the Satellite Suites units.Key Responsibilities:
- Development of Work Instructions:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts such as engineers quality safety and management to gather process knowledge and document detailed work instructions.
- Analyze existing workflows and processes identifying areas where documentation can enhance safety quality or efficiency.
- Write step-by-step instructions in a clear concise and user-friendly manner ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Create supporting visual materials such as diagrams photographs charts and flowcharts to improve understanding and compliance.
- Standardize instructions across the organization to reduce variability and increase reliability.
- Participate in audits inspections and regulatory reviews providing documentation and evidence of best practices.
- Maintain records of revisions approvals and distribution to meet audit Manage the distribution archiving and retrieval of work instructions and related documentation.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Technical Writing: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear accurate and actionable instructions.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in capturing every step and nuance of a process ensuring nothing is omitted.
- Process Analysis: Skill in observing and breaking down workflows identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate across departments and with diverse stakeholders.
- Digital Literacy: Proficiency with documentation tools graphics software document management systems and e-learning platforms.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying process issues and working collaboratively to find solutions.
- Quality and Compliance Orientation: Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry.
Qualifications:
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Certified Technical Writer Lean Six Sigma ISO Auditor) are advantageous.
- Experience in documentation process improvement or training within the relevant industry (1-3 years minimum preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in documentation management systems and content creation tools.
- Strong portfolio of written work instructions guides or process documentation.
Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters inc/Satellite Industries Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors including but not limited to a candidates qualifications skills competencies experience location and end client requirements).
