Job Summary

Were seeking a responsible collaborative individual for the full-time Maintenance Technician position at our Cook Park Library in Libertyville and Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills. Our ideal candidate performs skilled maintenance and repairs involving electrical plumbing and carpentry. This is a permanent year-round position. Flexibility needed.

HOURS

Weekdays 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Periodically needed to fill in weekends and evenings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnoses and troubleshoots maintenance issues and recommends solutions
Works on special projects involving renovations repairs and installations.
Maintains cleanliness of building and grounds
Performs light and routine maintenance work
Delivers materials between our two locations
Daily room set-ups for library events
Seasonal duties such as snow removal and plant watering
Building security

REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift 50 pounds and has the agility to use ladders
Able to read and understand equipment manuals
Familiarity with carpentry plumbing and electrical work
Previous maintenance experience preferred
Able to easily communicate in English
Basic computer skills
Requires flexibility to work at both locations and to fill in open shifts when needed
Must have own transportation valid Drivers License and good driving record
High School Graduate

SALARY & BENEFITS

$23 - $25per hour DOQ.
