Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs basic landscape maintenance functions as part of a Horticulture team including watering weeding raking of debris trimming of shrubs planting of foliage and back pack blowing of designated areas.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs manual weeding tasks.
- Performs hand watering tasks.
- Performs trimming and pruning of shrubs ground-covers and vines using primarily hand-held equipment.
- Performs mulching tasks.
- Performs clean-up tasks.
- Performs digging and planting tasks.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Responsible for performing basic horticulture functions to include: weeding watering trimming detailing annual beds mulching and back pack blowing designated areas.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED: Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Six months to one year landscape maintenance experience preferably in upscale commercial or resort environment required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Florida Drivers License Required.
