Location: Sanford FL 32771
Shift: 12 hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide close monitoring and frequent assessments to patients requiring intermediate care. You will be expected to make clinical assessments independently and manage treatment autonomously while collaborating with a phenomenal team committed to delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform frequent clinical assessments of patients in the ICU Stepdown unit
- Manage and implement patient care plans autonomously
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Monitor vital signs administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards of care
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care ICU Stepdown RN experience
- Candidates with 3 years of Cardiac PCU or Multisystem PCU experience are also encouraged to apply
- Current Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required
- Compact license holders must obtain a Florida RN license within 60 days of relocation
- Registered Nurse Diploma Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of the start date
- American Heart Association ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of employment start
