Job Summary
Description
RPO Recruitments client a well-established construction company in South Africa is seeking an experienced Site Agent in Cape Town to lead and manage site operations from start to finish.
As a Site Agent you will be responsible for the successful planning coordination and execution of construction activities on-site. You will manage teams subcontractors materials budgets timelines and ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications safety regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Interpret project drawings plans and specifications.
- Manage site personnel subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress reports to senior management.
- Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries deliveries and inspection logs.
- Identify and resolve on-site problems or delays.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Building/BTech degree in Construction Management or similar
- Between 5 and 10 years experience in a Site Agent or similar supervisory role
- Proven track record managing construction projects from start to finish
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods materials and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office MS Project and construction software tools
- Valid drivers license and own transport
