Purpose of Job:

The Analyst Employee Relations & People Solutions provides assistance and project coordination support to facilitate operationally excellent HR advisory services across the Bank. The role involves supporting decision-makers by visualising data analysing trends applying statistics finding insights using the Banks suite of business intelligence tools and assisting with dispute resolution procedures. The Analyst works under the supervision and guidance of senior team members to deliver the Banks HR People Plan and other relevant agendas.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Employee Relations Specific:

  • Provides advice and guidance to staff and managers on HR policies and procedures escalating issues within the team as appropriate. This will include internal regulations relating to disciplinaries grievances voluntary severance cases redundancy situations performance management and sickness management.
  • Provides support to ER team on resolving existing and potential staff members grievances and facilitating mediation
  • Supports the successful delivery of HROD projects through research drafting active monitoring updating of progress and reporting to project leads.
  • Maintains accurate records to underpin sound administration of Bank personnel.
  • Supports and contributes to staff health matters and other sensitive employee relations activities and processes.
  • Coordinates and/or supports information sessions for line managers and staff on HR cyclical topics.
  • Manages relevant case referral and management systems ensuring required service standards.
  • Develops and reviews internal ER guides on processes and procedures ensuring timeliness of relevant internal updates.
  • Coordinates training and information sessions with members of HROD particularly related to HR cyclical activity.
  • Prepares and analyses various HR metrics and KPIs providing feedback to the People Solutions & Advisory and HR Business Partnering teams.
  • Uses statistical insights from employee data to make better people decisions and provide insights into people issues.
  • Conducts design reviews with end users and consults data owners to iteratively improve reporting relevance and impact.
  • Drives continuous improvement in data quality and supports team members to improve their data analytics capability.

People Solutions & Advisory Specific:

  • Provides support to the People Solutions & Advisory team in relation to the management of long term sickness cases/medical absences; referrals to occupational health and other stakeholders.
  • Supports the successful delivery of HROD projects through active monitoring updating of progress and reporting to project leads.
  • Maintains accurate records to underpin sound administration of Bank personnel.
  • Provides assistance and problem-solving related to referred queries from line managers and staff liaising with HR centres of expertise and HR Operations as necessary.
  • Coordinates and/or supports information sessions for line managers and staff on HR cyclical topics.
  • Manages relevant case referral and management systems ensuring required service standards.
  • Prepares and analyses various HR metrics and KPIs providing feedback to the People Solutions & Advisory and HR Business Partnering teams.
  • Uses statistical insights from employee data to make better people decisions and provide insights into people issues.
  • Conducts design reviews with end users and consults data owners to iteratively improve reporting relevance and impact.
  • Drives continuous improvement in data quality and supports team members to improve their data analytics capability.

Knowledge Skills Experience & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated HR Adviser or experience in an HR Operations role or comparable.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of HR policies and guidelines or other policy environments.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multitask and meet specific timelines.
  • Experience solving HR-related or comparable process problems and good attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills including the ability to present to various audiences.
  • Experience of working in a multi-national environment with a dispersed workforce preferred.
  • Resilient with proven ability to operate with discretion and without bias in a highly sensitive risk mitigation environment.
  • Experience of working in a data and analytics environment.
  • Analytical orientation and data manipulation skills with an understanding of how data can be used to measure business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to ask the right questions to get at the deeper-level why.
  • Experience using results of analysis and communicating this in an effective way using good communication storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams.
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills including effective questioning and active listening.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload meet deadlines and follow through on the completion of projects.
  • Fluency in English both written and oral. Knowledge of another language is a plus.

Preferable:

  • Previous experience of working with SAP HR.
  • Previous experience of working with Alteryx or similar data shaping tool.
