Location: We are seeking an experienced POS Systems Specialist for the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex located in Birmingham AL.
Job Overview:
- Deploy workstations servers printers scanners firewalls encryption systems and appliances
security systems. - Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers multiple databases and
during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding
privacy security and regulatory compliance. - Perform Data Entry for the Purchasing Department.
- Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
- Anticipate mitigate identify troubleshoot and correct hardware and software issues on servers and workstations; Respond to outages or system downtime efficiently and effectively.
- Set up handout and collect POS devices after events.
- Analyze system server application network and input/output device performance.
- Recommend schedule and perform software and hardware upgrades patches and reconfigurations as directed by corporate IT.
- Conduct research on emerging products services protocols and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling POS devices transactions.
