With a reputation built on integrity precision and long-term client relationships our client is seeking a seasoned financial professional to support our continued growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable general ledger payroll and bank reconciliations.
- Utilize Sage 50 to manage and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local financial regulations.
- Coordinate with external CPA for audits tax filings and year-end close.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
- Support project managers with job costing budgeting and financial tracking.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff (if applicable).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a controller or senior accounting role.
- Proficiency with Sage 50 is required.
- Experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
