Job Title: Senior Manager Salt (Greenfield Project)

Location: Kutch Hajipir Gujarat
Reporting To: Project Head
Experience: 12 years in Salt Chemical Industry Projects
Qualification: B.E./B. Tech (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Civil or relevant discipline)

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager Salt will play a pivotal leadership role in managing and executing a greenfield Salt & Chemical project. The role demands a proactive individual with a strong technical foundation multidisciplinary coordination capability and project execution experience. The incumbent will be responsible for planning coordination execution compliance and delivery of the project within defined timelines and budget while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities (KRA):

Project Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead the entire Greenfield Salt & Chemical project execution as Team Leader.
- Coordinate with civil electrical mechanical and instrumentation teams to ensure smooth implementation across disciplines.
- Drive project execution from concept to commissioning phase.
Documentation & Regulatory Compliance:
- Coordinate submission of documentation for all statutory approvals.
- Ensure timely acquisition of licenses permits and regulatory compliance.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Evaluate new and existing vendors/contractors for performance delivery quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify alternate suppliers for improved cost quality and lead time.
- Follow up on drawings documents and obtain design approvals in time.
Engineering & Technology Review:
- Review technological proposals from technology suppliers.
- Analyze basic and detailed engineering documentation.
- Conduct technical evaluations prepare comparison charts and raise technical queries.
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
- Prepare and submit monthly project progress reports.
- Ensure stage-wise inspection of critical equipment by internal/external agencies.
- Develop schedules for project activities ensuring timely execution.
Technical Interface & Discussions:
- Lead technical discussions with consultants vendors and design teams.
- Represent the project in reviews with HODs and management.
- Participate in engineering review project studies and plant layout finalization.
Safety & Risk Management:
- Ensure all safety aspects are addressed during project planning and execution.
- Liaise with other departments for risk assessment and implement best practices.
Communication & Coordination:
- Maintain clear documentation and records of technical and commercial discussions.
- Coordinate closely with consultants and contractors for smooth execution.
- Submit minutes of meetings and action items to the Project Head/COO.

Job Profile:

Serve as the technical and executional lead for the Salt Greenfield Project.
Manage cross-functional teams and act as the key liaison between internal departments and external partners.
Translate business and operational requirements into project deliverables.
Ensure that all project aspects including quality cost safety and schedule are adhered to.
Act as the single point of contact for technical escalations and decisions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong project management skills in industrial projects particularly Salt or Chemical sectors.
Excellent knowledge of engineering disciplines civil electrical mechanical instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in vendor management and contract negotiation.
Knowledge of statutory and environmental regulations.
High level of commitment to safety compliance and quality.
