This time frame supports our adherence to the at-will nature of your employment with Clermont County Juvenile DUTIES:Duties include but are not limited to: Supervises and coordinates educational activities each day; supervises and instructs residents/students in assigned academic or vocational area; provides individual assistance to residents/students; administers examination and proficiency indicators; disciplines residents/students and refers more difficult cases to proper supervisor(s); counsels residents/students regarding behavioral personal and academic problems; develops individual performance objectives; grades tests; develops and maintains curriculum; prepares daily lesson plans; prepares and submits required records and reports (e.g. attendance records resident/student evaluations resident/student progress resident/student profiles);requisitions necessary supplies; maintains QUALIFICATIONS:Must have knowledge of supervision counseling academic course or vocational techniques assigned education process and techniques; ability to interpret variety of technical material in books and other sources; prepare and deliver lectures and presentations to residents/students; develop good rapport with residents/students; ability to prepare individual performance objectives curriculum and lesson plans and review work completed by residents/students; knowledge of child psychology; ability to prepare and maintain records related to resident/students work performance and behavior define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to communicate effectively and exercise sound judgment; maintain effective work relationships with associates staff and general REQUIREMENTS:Must have a Bachelors degree in education and is a certified teacher of the State of Ohio with a minimum experience of (1 to 3 years) of teaching; English/ Reading / Math certification preferred but not required; must be 21 years of age; must have a valid Ohio drivers license or ability to obtain one prior to the employment date.
