If worker was on modified light duties in the past twelve months you must have full clearance from doctor to return to full duties.

If eligible for subsistence it will be paid providing two approved proof of residence documents are received during the onboarding process. Subject to change; all Pipefitter and Boilermaker Welders will require a weld test prior to arriving on site. The mandatory requirements for the weld tests are that the member must bring all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to complete the weld test. Welding certificates must be supplied in advance to Labour Relations email to or fax 780.485.2703

1-3 years dealer or fleet maintenance shop. Ford and GM truck experience is necessary
Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines transmissions 4x4 systems and brakes
Assemble and disassemble components as needed during repairs
Performing scheduled maintenance service such as oil changes lubrications and tune ups
Complete repairs as per estimates completed in a timely fashion
Maintain high quality of workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
Maintaining and repairing a fleet of 350 trucks
Follow and comply with all health safety environmental and HR procedures

Position Scope

BFI is looking for an Automotive 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice technician to join our team at our Mildred Lake Shop in Fort McMurray.

Site:Mildred Lake Shop

Hourly Rate: 2nd Year Rate $37.21

3rd Year Rate $42.53

Shift schedule: 14 days on 14days off

Accommodations:Local hire only
