POSITION OVERVIEW
The responsibility of theBid Manageristo deliver a winning proposalaccording to customer requirements Alstom processesEthics&ComplianceValues andSignalling Solutionstrategy.
He/She ensures that all bids submitted are in line with the QCD (quality cost delivery) objectives and gives support to the Sales Leader up to the contract award.
The Bid Manager reportsdirectly to Bid Management leaderand he/she willwork in strong liaison with tender team Sales Leader and all the stakeholders involved internal and external.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules values and instructions(e.g. Code of Ethics&Compliance Railways Safety...)
- Work in close relationship withSales leader andthe full tender teamincluding involved units
- Prepare the full technical documentationnecessary to submit to Customer (technical description of offered solution project master schedule draft the price list)
- Define the offered solutionin order to be compliant with detailed requirement capture and all the stakeholhers requirements and strategy
- Manage QCDreviews and optimizations. Obtain clear commitments from different actors
- Preparerisks & opportunitiesreviews
- Keep records of the documentationproduced for tender preparation
- Partecipate to thecontract negotiations
- Manage the budget of tender preparationcost according to Tender Cost Authorization Process
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Necessary
- Project managementbackground including Risk management and Planning expertise
- Good practices ofcosting and financial risks
- High communications networkreportingcapabilities
- High capability to stimulateefficient team workingto produce the tender documents within a limited time period
- Be able to challenge proposals to obtain optimal solutions backed with commitments
- Demonstrateintegrityand be fully involved in in Alstom Ethics&Compliance Values
- Demonstrate excellentcommunication skillsand able to guide influence and convince others in a matrix organization
- Anticipation andproblem solving
- Sense of urgencyand managing priorities to be compliant with tender execution
- Fluent inItalian and English
Desirable
- Good knowledge ofrailway signallingproducts and systems
- Knowledge ofadditional languageslike French Russian German Spanish is a plus
- Finance and Legalsensitivity
- Contract Management
The position is located at one of ouroffice(Bologna Florence Rome orBari)and will require regular travels (domestic and international missions).
