EEO/M/F/D/V Quality Control Inspector (QCI) Wessels-Hourly 1st shiftWorks with employees customers and suppliers as part of a team to follow the ASME Pressure Vessel code for the manufacture of pressure vessels. - Organizes and maintains records and documentation to support ASME certification product testing procedures and product safety.
- Creates and prepares reports letters and quality communications to customers.
- Inspect receiving and in-process material.
- Monitors flow of materials and prepare documents for foreign and domestic shipments.
- Assists with hands-on shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Proficient in use of personal computers and Microsoft Office
- Must be well organized self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with both internal and external customers
- Ability to interpret technical drawings blueprints and shop sketches knowledge of GD&T.
- Must work well as a team player.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook Word Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Vocational/technical education preferred
- Two or more years experience working with and maintaining quality systems
- Full understanding of ASME Pressure Vessel standards and certification requirements
- A background in welding.
- Knowledge or experience reading welding symbols and interpreting welds per specifications.
- Proficient in using quality tools and techniques.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Shop and Office environment.
- Safety shoes and safety glasses are required.
Able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis. SCHEDULE - Standard 8-hour shifts 150% paid anytime over 8 hours daily hours over 45 in a week are paid as double time
- Shift availability standard schedules shown below
- First Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM Monday - Friday
- Second Shift 3:30 PM 12:00 AM Monday Friday 12.5% Shift Premium
- Third Shift 11:00 PM 7:00 AM Sunday Thursday 7.5% Shift Premium
