Lead Plumber

Supervises and coordinates plumbing maintenance repair and installation activities within the hospital premises. Ensures all plumbing systems operate efficiently and comply with healthcare regulations safety standards and hospital policies. Leads a team of plumbers and technicians prioritizing work and managing resources to maintain critical hospital infrastructure with minimal disruption to patient care.

Duties: Lead Plumber

Supervises and coordinates plumbing maintenance repair and installation activities within the hospital premises. Ensures all plumbing systems operate efficiently and comply with healthcare regulations safety standards and hospital policies. Leads a team of plumbers and technicians prioritizing work and managing resources to maintain critical hospital infrastructure with minimal disruption to patient care.

Required Qualifications: Lead Plumber
Minimum of five years plumbing experience required.

State of Nebraska Journeyman Plumber license required.
High school education or equivalent required.

Current valid motor vehicle operator license and ability to meet and maintain insurability required.

Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics required.

In-depth knowledge of hospital plumbing systems including medical gas systems sterile water supply drainage and sewage required.

Basic computer email and database skills required.

Mechanically inclined and proficient with plumbing tools drain cleaning equipment and diagnostic devices required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of customers (e.g. patient care providers patients visitors management etc.) required.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems and make decisions while working in stressful situations required.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions including the ability to comprehend equipment instruction/service manuals and drawings required.

Preferred Qualifications: Lead Plumber
Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Master plumbing license preferred.
