Position Overview

The HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor and operational support to field and corporate teams aligning HR practices with business goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hands-on environment and understands the unique dynamics of construction teams from jobsite to boardroom.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with project & field leaders and field to support workforce planning performance management and employee engagement
  • Lead employee relations and coach managers on conflict resolution and compliance
  • Support talent acquisition efforts including onboarding and retention strategies tailored to skilled trades and project teams
  • Collaborate on compensation reviews benefits education and HRIS optimization
  • Drive culture-building programs across diverse jobsite and office environments
  • Interpret and apply labor laws and company policies consistently
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions


Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressive HR experience preferably in construction manufacturing or field-based industries
  • Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field (PHR/SPHR a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and union/non-union environments
  • Excellent communication coaching and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel to jobsites in the IndianapolisIN region and Louisville KY region (5-10%)
