Inviting applications for the role of Vice President Chief Engineer / Practice Leader -Engineering Services!
To lead the Practice organization of engineering services and meet/exceed business objectives of the same. Will lead 5-10 Supervisors (to include: - SME functional leaders for various engineering). Will closely work with Sales/client partner and delivery/operations team.
Responsibilities
Interact with Senior leadership of the client organization (CTO CIO GMs) end users vendors employees of the company across several functions and levels.
Contribute towards developing the business strategy of the engineering service line and cascade elements of the above to reporting teams.
Develop review and improve the performance of the engineering service line.
Will own growth targets for the service line.
Suggest / take decisions / actions to align performance of the service line/team within engineering services.
Undertake necessary preparation for client reviews or support the Functional head in preparation for client reviews.
Lead certain client reviews. These reviews may or may not include account managers.
Be proactive and systematic to avoid client escalations / issues and promptly resolve and/or appropriately channelize any escalations
Lead or assist in developing proposals / parts of proposals requisite services / solutions to increase business from existing clients in conjunction with the account manager OR sales team.
Assist the sales team in pitching to new prospects.
Assist the Functional head/Sales team/Marketing team in the preparation of marketing material.
Maintain sustainable and trustworthy relations in the client organization
Identify gaps in the service line talent pool and take appropriate action (select or train people) to bridge the gap.
Participate in selection process to ensure the right talent is selected in a timely manner.
Develop groom and coach team members so that they are able to perform better / as per the business objectives.
Help build required training materials for engineering teams.
Effectively train team members to enhance skill sets/performance.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Electrical/ Computer Science or related fields. Must have a post-qualification experience in supporting heavy manufacturing industry in engineering services area. Background in manufacturing engineering supplier quality and product designing is plus.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C familiarity with Linux and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Strong understanding of hardware design microcontrollers and communication protocols like CAN SPI I2C and UART.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Knowledge of FPGA System design verification and validation and test automation.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies with proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from concept to production
Proven ability to generate business and spearhead the elevation of client engagements to their next level of growth
Proven track record of driving change in people and processes with strong project management implementation and process improvement skills
Consultative skills and structured thought process Creative thinking/innovative mindset
Ability to engage senior client management on emerging issues in various industry domains lead project scope discussions and provide insightful recommendations.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills ability to build connections for positioning Genpact as a trusted partner in engineering space.
Ability to work in matrix organization and cross functional teams across India US and Europe.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Work in client specific time zones ( PST EST CST GMT) is possible
Some travel (national/international) will be required
Should be willing to take short / long term transfers across different geographies and/or roles
