Senior Analyst - Operational Performance
Department: Gas Operations
Reports to: Director - Compliance & Operational Performance
Location: In Office Orange CT
The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location ranging from: $94490.40 - $118113
Job Summary:
Responsible for implementation and tracking of Operational Performance metrics and structure for all business areas within Avangrid Gas & Hydro Engineering and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and coordinate areas for improvement in data management compliance or performance and steer the organization toward implementation of realized areas for improvement.
Orchestrate and engage in KPI alignment discussions with Gas & Hydro Engineering and Operations personnel including leadership guiding teams on what they should be measuring.
Engage with SMEs in the Gas Business to understand and leverage the use of data analytics.
Leverages a continuous improvement mindset to maximize efficiency and utilizes that mindset to influence process owners throughout the business.
Ensure that accurate dashboards and visual reports are created in a useful meaningful and timely fashion keeping in mind the audience for each report.
Ensure KPIs and targets are set and drive prioritization throughout the business to improve operational performance.
Quantifies potential risks and provides recommendations for improvement to management through analysis of technical operational and financial data.
Leads the development and administration of performance metrics and tracking strategies.
Actively participates in the establishment of the Operational Performance teams goals and workplans and monitors/assesses achievement status on a consistent basis.
Participates in analysis of reports and provides feedback to the business.
Coordinates reporting to all leadership particularly on issues with potential impacts to Gas Businesses.
Defines controls assessments and documentation of overall Operational Performance program effectiveness.
Provides performance improvement analysis using historical data and forecasts using data analytics.
Skills and Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven experience and passion for working across functions and with business leaders synthesizing multiple points of view and owning a coherent action plan all while negotiating and influencing others.
Ability to lead teams and work in a team environment.
Ability to analyze data draw conclusions and make recommendations.
Ability to assist and develop employees.
Understanding of Natural Gas Industry.
Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
Public presentation skills and ability to summarize concepts presented accordingly.
Results oriented.
Data analytics and related tools knowledge.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree and 4 years total professional experience or associates degree and 6 years professional experience.
Experience with Performance Operational/Metrics.
Experience with reporting and tracking deadlines when working across different departments.
PowerBI and Advanced Excel Skills.
