Asa Theatre Practitioner / ODP in Anaesthetic at our hospital youll be alert focused detail-oriented and empathetic.Youre registered with the appropriate governing body and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration including NMC or HCPC. With post-registration experience youre a team player across departments with a passion for exceptional patient care.
As a Theatre Practitioner in Anaestheticyou will:
Work with leading consultants and like-minded professionals
Enjoy a varied caseload with state-of-the-art technology equipment and facilities
Supervise support and develop junior members of staff
Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based
Ensure the safe administration of anaesthetics and monitor vital signs throughout surgical procedures
Participate in maintaining a sterile operating environment and adhering to all safety protocols
Collaborate closely with anaesthetists and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and interact closely with colleagues on the ward

Shrewsbury hospital ranked as Good in the last CQC inspection is purpose built and well equipped with 30 en-suite bedrooms 3 operating theatres an endoscopy suite an Ambulatory Care Unit and a busy outpatients department which includes physiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Our diagnostic provision includes X-ray Ultrasound MRI and CT facilities.
We offer the most up to date surgical treatments combined with a warm welcome and a professional and caring service from our matron-led nursing team. We specialise in the areas of orthopaedics ophthalmology cosmetic surgery and womens health but also undertake general surgery urology and interventions for chronic pain management.
