Note:The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 5 years of transportation hydraulic design experience preferably with NCDOT projects.

Job Description
- Lead and support hydrology and hydraulic analysis for roadway and transportation projects
- Design stormwater management systems ponds and conveyance systems
- Perform erosion control and outfall analysis to ensure compliance with environmental standards
- Contribute to all aspects of roadway drainage design including culverts bridges ditches BMPs and watershed studies
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork to confirm existing conditions
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic improvements for roadway and drainage projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams sub-consultants and permitting agencies
- Extract and analyze data from MicroStation GEOPAK Drainage HEC-RAS and related tools
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
- Manage project scopes schedules and budgets when assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of hydraulic design experience ideally with NCDOT projects
- Proficiency with MicroStation GEOPAK Drainage and HEC-RAS
- Working knowledge of NCDOT Guidelines for Drainage Studies and Hydraulic Design and FHWA Hydraulic Design Manual
- Soil erosion and sediment control design experience
- Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer and SUDA is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available)
