Meat Clerk
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Meat Clerkto join our Root Cellar team! As a Meat Clerk you will be responsible for:
Various duties include the nightly cleaning and organization of thedepartment prepping ingredients for our many in-house products and wrappingand rotating stock for our displays. Our Chop Shop Meat Market offers ahigh-quality selection of locally sourced fresh and cured meats and deliciousvalue-added items made in-house using the freshest ingredients from our you are interested in learning the meat-cutting trade this position is aninvaluable opportunity to work alongside our certified butchers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Ensure that product quality freshness andpresentation meet our high standards.
- Follow all workplace and food safety policies andprocedures.
- Clean floors counters worktables trays andequipment.
- Prepare wrap weigh label and price various meat& seafood products.
- Stock displays to ensure adequate product levels inthe department.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING:
- The ability to perform repetitive tasks stand for long periodswork in a cool environment and lift up to 50lbs.
- The ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a busyenvironment.
- The ability to work well within a team.
- Previous retail/customer service experience is an asset but weare willing to train the right person with the right attitude!
- Provide superior customer service.
- Be willing and available to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
