Job Summary

Boston Universitys AI and Education Initiative is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to play a key role in launching and supporting the Evidence-Based AI in Learning (EVAL) Industry Collaborative and its flagship EVAL Competition. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing competition logistics coordinating research activities and serving as a liaison with schools districts and EdTech partners.

This position requires strong organizational and communication skills along with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced collaborative research environment. This role is well-suited for candidates with experience in K12 education who are looking to expand their expertise in project management and educational research. A masters degree is preferred though highly experienced candidates without one will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all phases of the EVAL Competition including application intake communication with applicants scheduling review panels and supporting RCT implementation.
  • Serve as a primary liaison with participating schools districts and EdTech company partners. Organize meetings track deadlines and maintain project documentation and timelines.
  • Assist in preparing project updates website content and materials for external audiences.
  • Support Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions data collection logistics and preparation of study-related materials. Maintain detailed project records prepare progress reports and contribute to grant deliverables. Work closely with the Principal Investigator and research team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the collaborative.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in education psychology public policy or related field (masters degree preferred).
  • Experience working in or with K12 schools. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in education psychology public health or related field.
  • Experience coordinating research projects preferably in education. Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes.
  • Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders including school staff and external partners. Understanding of AI and educational technology trends a plus.

Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting and computer-based work. Occasional travel to local schools and partner sites during school hours. Ability to carry materials and equipment up to 10 pounds.

Salary: Based on experience anticipated range $55000$65000 annually.
