Role Overview: The Program Manager for the New Journeys Program will provide leadership and management for program development training quality assurance and quality improvement and clinical supervision for all Valley Cities (VC) staff and programs in the assigned function areas. The Program Manager for New Journeys Program primary responsibilities include supporting the Director in ensuring the mission of VC is fulfilled and implementing policies procedures and other activities in support of strategic goals and Program Manager for the New Journeys Program is responsible for the delivery of client services provided by the New Journeys team. This position provides direct service to program participants as described in the NAVIGATE model for up to 30 individuals from ages 15-40 experiencing their first psychotic episode. Responsibilities include establishing program goals and objectives in conjunction with the Service Director and Senior Leadership team. This position carries out the activities and processes outlined in the NAVIGATE manual for this position. The position requires excellent communication public speaking and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure successful start-up and maintenance of the New Journeys program by identifying needs planning organizing and directing the demonstration project.
- Assured that all team members are trained in the NAVIGATE model that has been selected for this programs unique population.
- Establish and maintain a county-wide network of referral sources for the New Journeys program.
- Establish a teamwork model that supports blending and overlapping of functions abilities and interventions among all team members.
- Work effectively as part of the management team to disseminate the practice knowledge gained in implementing New Journeys and assist in implementing in all outpatient settings.
- Provide clinical supervision to the New Journeys team ensuring use of the NAVIGATE model.
Leadership: - Support the mission and goals of VC and maintain and expand the quality of services.
- Lead team of New Journeys Program staff who provide program services by setting and sharing program vision goals and standards of excellence providing feedback about progress and supporting staff in effectively caring for themselves and their clients.
- Attend agency and community meetings psychiatric consultations individual supervision and other program meetings to represent the agency develop partnerships and share information.
Operations: - Oversee day to day New Journeys Program operations to ensure effective program functioning and adherence to program goals objectives and budget.
- Ensure caseload productivity and clinical standards are maintained.
- Ensure data and statistical information necessary to maintain accountability to external funding sources are collected and reported in a timely manner.
What Were Looking For: Education: - MA Degree in Behavioral Sciences Field.
Certification / Licensure - Washington State Counselor Marriage Family Therapy or Social Worker Licensure.
- Qualifies as a Childrens Mental Health Specialist per WAC definition preferred.
- Current Drivers License.
- Pass required background checks.
- Current automotive insurance.
Experience: - Minimum two years supervisory experience.
- Minimum two years of experience post licensure providing mental health treatment.
- Can illustrate documented service-oriented experience that includes successful staff development and quality client outcomes.
