Paralympic Campaign Operations Lead
Swimming is Australias most successful Olympic and Paralympic sport and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the Paralympic programs core operations for Campaigns. The role is responsible for leading Campaign planning and deliverables related to logistical requirements and providing seamless operations to optimise the performance environment to win when it matters the most. This exciting opportunity is a parental leave backfill and is being offered as a Full-Time Fixed Term position working in a hybrid model between home and the Brisbane office.
About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager Paralympic Program the principal duties of this role include:
Leading the planning and execution of seamless operations and logistics coordinating the integration of campaign areas performance support coaching and communications.
Leading campaign planning meetings ensuring agendas are outcome driven and all necessary stakeholders are involved at the right stages of the Campaign life cycle.
Quickly establishing and fostering relationships with Campaign Host organising committees/PA/CGA to understand how they work their culture challenges and opportunities to optimise success.
Performing the role of Campaign Team Manager for BMEs ensuring seamless execution of plans.
Leading pre-campaign site visits with program leadership that will provide event familiarisation and competition readiness to ensure no surprises.
Overseeing the management of athlete coach and staff team member eligibility and compliance in regard to all aspects of being a travelling member of the Australian swim team.
About you:
What you will bring to the role:
A minimum of 3 years experience with Olympic/Paralympic and/or international teams equivalent
Experience managing complex programs projects or events that involve both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive documentation with appropriate discretion
Proven ability to remain calm and work under pressure prioritise and manage resources to meet deadlines
Strong communication (both verbal and written) negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Able to create a safe supportive environment that fosters ongoing mutual respect and trust
