The Supply Chain team adds critical value to the entire organization. Youll help us source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. Youll also contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so that we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want.

In this position...

  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch quality capacity warranty metrics and vehicle delivery
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues.
  • Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers
  • Principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
  • Lead adherence to Ford standards (i.e.Q1)


Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites
  • Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP)
  • Use available data metrics and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality
  • Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch quality capacity warranty metrics and vehicle delivery
  • Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelor of Science/ Engineering or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude
  • 4 years experience in wiring gained from design or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing quality and/or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
  • Ability to travel in the US Canada Central America and Mexico approximately 80% of the time

  • Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines
  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
  • Manufacturing maintenance and quality operations experience
  • Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
