The Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer of the district reporting directly to the elected Board of Education. This leader will provide vision direction and oversight for all aspects of district operations including academic achievement fiscal responsibility community engagement and staff development. The ideal candidate will be a fair-minded student-centered leader who demonstrates exceptional integrity operational expertise and the ability to unite diverse stakeholders around a shared vision of excellence. Required Qualifications Masters degree in Educational Leadership Administration or related field (Doctorate preferred). Valid Arkansas Superintendent License (or eligibility to obtain upon hire). Minimum of five (5) years of successful district-level leadership with demonstrated experience in personnel management finance and operations. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum instruction assessment and strategies to improve student outcomes. Proven record of fiscal stewardship including budget preparation and management of complex school district finances. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with the Board staff parents students and the community. Ability to maintain confidentiality professionalism and compliance with Arkansas statutes FOIA and Board policies.
Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership or related discipline. Experience as a successful Superintendent or Deputy/Assistant Superintendent in a comparably sized district. Demonstrated success in recruiting retaining and developing talented educators and staff. Experience guiding strategic planning and community engagement efforts in diverse and dynamic communities. Evidence of resilience and the ability to navigate politically socially and culturally complex environments. Track record of championing fairness for both students and employees ensuring that opportunities for success are fair and accessible to all. Experience working collaboratively with higher education business and civic leaders to strengthen workforce and community partnerships.
