Location:Syracuse NY

Schedule:Tuesday Wednesday start at 3 PM Thursday start at 4 PM and Saturday 12:00 PM start time

Job Summary:

At G&C Foods we are looking for a responsible effective and motivating Warehouse Supervisor to join our warehouse management team! As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and maximizing productivity of our warehouse while motivating and cultivating our team members. The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise their Team Leaders and all other warehouse personnel to ensure both speed and accuracy of the incoming/outgoing of product and storage. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be a direct liaison between all corresponding departments.

This person will be responsible for:

• Overseeing all Shipping functions including but not limited to loading selecting reach trucking image control and any other functions during the shift.
• Time and attendance tracking including PTO requests and schedule changes.
• Creating an inspiring team environment with a culture of open communication by listening to team members feedback and resolving any issues or conflicts through direct communication.
• Set clear team goals delegate tasks appropriately and monitor team performance and metrics.
• Oversee communication cross-departmentally including but not limited to shift reports emails phone calls and meetings.
• Motivate team members recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.
• Distinguish training needs and provide coaching both verbal and documented.
• Ensure all safety regulations are being met/followed. Safety should also be promoted positively.
• Verify all documentation corresponding to all appropriate job tasks is complete and accurate.
• Consistently assess departmental processes and procedures to proactively change and evolve with the growing needs of the business and company.
• Plan and coordinate with the daily Operations tasks.
• Collaborate with management and warehouse personnel for disciplinary actions and any other concerns in the department such as staffing needs errors equipment needs scheduling and safety.
• Prepare all documentation for employees such as coaching written suspensions and performance evaluations.
• Monitor overtime and schedule accordingly.
• Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision training and development of teams.
• Operation of a powered industrial truck (PIT)

Job Requirements:

• Strong leadership skills: train motivate direct the work of others.
• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail meeting deadlines and working in a production-driven environment.
• Ability to plan and conduct effective meetings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of warehouse hands-on experience required mid-level management experience preferred (Preferably cold storage).
• Ability to handle written and oral reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
