Job Summary

Description:

Position: Material Handler. Reports to the Logistics Manager.

Receives materials and supplies by verifying PO information on ERP - PO number QTY etc.

Documents materials receipts and put away to the appropriate storage location.

Locate material(s) by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.

Deliver production materials and supplies where needed and staging finished product final distribution.

Locate and pack materials for shipping.

Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying pulling packing crating loading and securing product.

Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.

Maintain inventory by identifying labeling and keeping materials and supplies in

stock recording location of inventory and reporting shortages.

Operates forklifts (certified a plus) pallet jacks and other machinery to move items or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks ships and loading docks.

Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.

Maintain warehouse operation area clean and orderly.

Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.

Requirements:

2 years of related warehouse experience (shipping and receiving kitting packing)

ERP experience SAP big advantage.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and highly regulated with adaptability to changing priorities.

Strong team player.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted.

Must be able to visually distinguish colors and view small print on parts. Attention to detail.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Must have a valid drivers license

2nd shift position

Manufacturing General Physical Requirements

*Work different shifts and/or work weekends including overtime.
* Work in hot and/or cold environments
* Work around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery
* Wear safety equipment such as safety glasses sleeves earplugs and steel-toed shoes
* Stand or walk for long periods of time each day
* Frequently bend stoop reach and lift up to 40 pounds
* Work in tight or closed in spaces
* Regularly climb ladder/man lift/stairs/crawl under vehicles if necessary
* Strong verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
