Job Summary
Title: RN Critical Care (Adult ICU)
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Shift: Nights 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (every other weekend and some holidays required)
Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Adult Intensive Care Unit for night shifts. Candidates should have a strong critical care background with preference given to those with prior Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records.
Schedules are set and extended time off requests (greater than 7 days) will not be accommodated.
Qualifications:
Current New York State RN license and registration
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) with ability to maintain certification
Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of comparable size and level
Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers preferred
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance drug screening and criminal background check.
Duties:
Deliver direct patient care in a critical care/ICU setting
Conduct accurate and timely nursing assessments
Provide care in the acute care specialty setting with minimal orientation and supervision
Skills Required:
At least 2 years of nursing experience (required)
NYS RN license (required)
Level 1 trauma hospital experience (highly desired)
EPIC EMR experience (highly desired)
Emergency Department experience (highly desired)
