Position Summary
Mill Creek Machining (MCM) is seeking aCNC Machinistfor ourPaullina IAlocation.The CNC Machinistis responsible for quality parts produced on our CNC lathe machines. *This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm. The pay range for this role is between $19.00 - $26.00/hr. depending on experience. A weekly attendance bonus of $44.00 per week will be added to each pay period when all scheduled hours are worked*
*Our machine shop is 100% climate controlled*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verifies cycle times on all jobs and reports discrepancies to his/hercrew chief and annotates on traveler.
- Verifies/setsgauging against known standards and ensures gauging is correct per inspection sheet.
- Knows and ensures all safety devices are in place and working properly.
- Inspects machine and work area in general for proper order and operation.
- Operates machinery according to acceptable and safe practice.
- Makes routine offsets andable to ascertain the need for changing inserts and capable of doing so as needed.
- Able to change work holding fixtures and tooling as instructed by crew chief.
- Assists in the preparation and execution of set ups as directed by machinist or crew chief.
- Competent in all the duties of a trainee and performs all tasks as assigned by supervision/management.
Experience Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to produce precision work.
