Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Pfizers Inflammation and Immunology (I&I) Business Unit on the dermatology franchise - an agile innovative groundbreaking team. Within I&I Medical Dermatology has an industry leading pipeline and is poised for continued growth and success. The Dermatology team is responsible for two of our 25 by 2025 launches LITFULO and CIBINQO.

  • LITFULO is a JAK3/TEC molecule that received approval in June 2023 and is the first and only FDA-approved treatment for severe alopecia areata (AA) in adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Currently there are only two other FDA-approved medicines for AA in adults so LITFULO delivers on a critical unmet need for people suffering with the severe AA.
  • CIBINQO is an oral JAK inhibitor for moderate to severe Atopic Dermatitis that received FDA breakthrough designation and was approved in the US in mid-January 2022.
  • EUCRISA is a novel steroid-free PDE4 inhibitor that is indicated for the treatment of mild-to-moderate Atopic Dermatitis. EUCRISA provides steroid-free efficacy that can be used both short-term and long-term to stand up to the daily symptoms mild to moderate Atopic Dermatitis patients experience.

The Dermatology Portfolio Strategy Marketing Lead is critical to the dermatology franchise representing a unique opportunity to contribute to Pfizers establishment as a dermatology industry leader. The colleague will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the Pfizer Dermatology Portfolio Marketing strategy which requires strategic thinking and thoughtful partnership across many functions and stakeholders. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong leadership communication a growth mindset and extreme agility in a rapidly evolving environment. The selected individual will report to the VP of Dermatology Marketing.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of the Pfizer Dermatology Portfolio strategy ensuring appropriate synergies across brands.
  • Strategically contribute to the growth of each brand by:
  • Ensuring the alignment of strategic operating and tactical plans
  • Optimizing performance by diving deep into the culture and ways of working of each brand team to ensure synergies across the franchise
  • Working closely with Thought Leader Engagement Leads (Professional Relations Team) to develop an external customer value proposition that resonates with the dermatology community and aligns with the dermatology franchise 4 areas of focus
  • Working intimately with other leadership team members who have portfolio responsibilities in their respective disciplines i.e. Health Systems Health Equity and Access Integration leads
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of all business-critical deliverables including but not limited to:
  • Quarterly earnings preparation and communication to senior leadership
  • Strategic planning and operating plan
  • Tactical plan development execution and communication
  • Development of strategic insights in preparation for monthly Air Traffic Control (ATC) discussions with senior leadership
  • Internal and external key stakeholder engagement to ensure successful planning and execution of our annual Dermatology Day
  • Work with marketing analytics and sales colleagues to assess and understand performance trends identifying potential course-correction opportunities.
  • Serve as single commercial point of accountability across a variety of data spheres (targeting adherence ROI etc.) collaborating with key stakeholders on the team to support brand imperatives.
  • Work closely with brand leads and other leadership team members to develop a franchise data strategy.
  • Provide brand-specific guidance to cross-functional partners (e.g. Finance ISE Commercial Effectiveness Strategy & Consulting etc.) on brand performance needs.
  • Partner with Global CSI Medical and other key stakeholders on evolution of lifecycle plans.
  • Facilitate optimal and uniform ways of working across brands in new agency model.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 8 years pharmaceutical experience
  • US marketing experience required
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into meaningful strategies and tactics
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership
  • Demonstrated success in navigating complex projects and influencing internal and external business partners to deliver results
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced high-energy environment
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation are essential
  • Strong ability to influence without authority
  • Strong strategic capabilities with sound business acumen and customer orientation
  • Proven ability to develop insights strategy operational and tactical plans
  • Strong persuasive interpersonal communication and leadership skills
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree
  • Dermatology experience
  • Core marketing capabilities to design marketing strategies and tactics to maximize local opportunities
  • Broad knowledge of the healthcare market and its customers
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to synthesize customer and market insights into prioritized marketing opportunities
