Job Summary

ROLE SUMMARY

The Manager of Payroll Strategy & Internal Benchmarking reporting to the Global Payroll Process Lead is responsible for leading the strategic direction of CS payroll operations ensuring alignment with global business objectives and driving continuous improvement through benchmarking and data analysis. This role partners closely with Service Delivery and GPL Process Optimization and Governance teams to ensure payroll processes are efficient compliant and competitive.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Payroll Leadership

  • Monitor payroll strategies and compliance with our processes that align to organizational goals.
  • Define data-driven approach on prioritization on payroll transformation initiatives including automation and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and optimize payroll processes across regions to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Recommend and enable new GBS scope for execution

Internal Benchmarking & Analytics

  • Design and maintain internal benchmarking frameworks to assess payroll performance across business units and geographies.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present insights and recommendations to GPL to inform strategic decisions.
  • Generate trends and opportunities through our data
  • Drive routines that support capturing key payroll metrics

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local state federal and international payroll regulations.
  • Support internal audits and partner with external auditors to ensure payroll accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws labor regulations and data privacy requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA) and support when change is needed.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Service Delivery teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes accurate and timely
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries and escalations.
  • Lead swat initiatives to support continuous improvement where needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicant must have a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a masters degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of experience; OR as associates degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in payroll
  • Strong knowledge of global HRIS/payroll systems (e.g. Workday ADP SAP Dayforce).
  • Proven experience in data analysis benchmarking and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven Self-starter
  • Able to navigate and adapt effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with international payroll regulations and expatriate payroll.
  • Strong Excel and data visualization skills (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification a plus

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $86800.00 to $144600.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
