ShiftDetails:

20 hrs/wk

Mainly Thursdays and Fridays but this position also offers flex scheduling.

Provide deaf and hard of hearing interpretation for patients families and staff of the organization to support the patient care needs of the deaf and hard of hearing community.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of one year medical interpretation experience for sign language in a healthcare setting required.
High school education or equivalent required.

Licensed Interpreter through the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearingrequired.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree is preferred.

National certification through the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and/or the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Inc. (RID) preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Word Excel and working within a database preferred.

Experience in remote and in-person ASL interpretation
Experience in appointment and interpreter coordination
