The Music Therapist provides clinical music therapy services in accordance with the standards of clinical practice scope of practice and code of ethics as outlined through the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT). The Music Therapist is responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating individual and group music therapy sessions while working with the multidisciplinary team to support the psychosocial and developmental needs of patients and their families.
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Music Therapy or its equivalent as approved by the American Music Therapy Association. Must be certified as a music therapist (MTBC) at time of hire. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). One year prior music therapy work experience.
