Job Summary

Job Title: Assoc Industrial Engineering

Job Description: The selected candidate will analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to improve efficiencies in plant / production facilities and equipment layouts; establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish accident prevention measures and coach training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. The candidate will conduct studies pertaining to cost / schedule control cost reduction inventory control and all phases of production record systems. On the basis of these studies the candidate will develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. The candidate may assist facilities engineers in the design and planning of facility infrastructure to support operations.

Essential Functions:

Provides direct support to Hangar Dock and Line (HDL) through problem root cause analysis and improvement recommendations/implementation; pre-induction setup; improvement efforts directed toward workflow work sequencing work area layout standardized work development and training of metrics and input processes to HDL efforts to ensure the safe and efficient utilization of time personnel material equipment and capital resources. Aircraft MRO (maintenance repair & overhaul) experience a plus. Orchestrator of monthly segment financial reporting to include tracking of segment improvement projects financial savings progress and status updates.

  • Develop validate implement and maintain labor standards for a variety of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Work jointly with cross-functional engineering groups performing concurrent engineering and producibility analysis.
  • Develop and implement tools/methods for measuring productivity and program cost performance (EAC/ETC)
  • Pull analyze and report data to support Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management in making key decisions
  • Assist management in implementing process improvement initiatives to include
    • e3 PPM database management for ISR
    • Success Story creation and posting
    • Monthly Operations Review slide decks creation
    • Gemba Maturity Audit oversight
  • Works under general supervision. May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area. May be responsible for providing guidance coaching and training to other employees within job area.
  • Requires US Citizenship.

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible applicants must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or have completed their Masters degree within the last 12 months regardless of age.
