The Role:
The Training and Education Manager plays a crucial role within the MCS organization supporting water gas and electric verticals. This position is responsible for developing strategies and executing training programs to support our utility customers and channel partners. The role requires close collaboration with training stakeholders to understand their requirements and innovative thinking for delivering training programs.
KeyResponsibilities:
Training Strategy and Collaboration
- Proactively engage and collaboratewithTraining and Education stakeholders (customerssalesmarketingengineeringchannelpartnersandtechservices)toensuretrainingalignswithstrategicgoalsas well as new product introduction and updates.
- Documenttrainingandeducationalrequirementsand overall strategy
- Staycurrentwithindustrytrendsandintegratebestpracticesintotrainingprograms.
TrainingProgramDevelopmentandMaintenance
- Manageacrossfunctionaltrainingteamincludinginstructionaldesignersandsoftwaretrainingspecialists.
- Overseethedesignof self-serve and specialist delivery material
- Managethechannel partnertraining certificationprogram.
- Maintain customer training and education materialonXylemwebsite.
Training Program Delivery
- OrganizeandfacilitateonsiteandvirtualtrainingsessionsforutilitycustomersandSensuschannel partnersacrossNorthAmerica.
- Support larger Sensus hosted training events and Xylem Reach Conference.
- Coordinatewithinternalstakeholderstoaligntrainingscheduleswithprojectmilestonesandcustomerneeds.
- Maintaintheonsitetraininglabtobeusedforhands-ontrainingsessions.
- Evaluatetrainingeffectivenessandincorporatefeedbackfromsurveysandstakeholderinput.
OperationalOversight
- Managetraining-relatedbudgets.
- SupportcustompricingstrategiesforRFPsStatementsofWorkandothercustomtrainingrequests.
- Maintainaconsistentintakeandtrackingprocessfortrainingrequestsandcontentdevelopment
Qualifications:
- Bachelorsdegreeinrelatedfieldor5yearsofequivalentcombinationofeducationandexperience.
- StrongknowledgeoftheFlexNetCommunicationNetworkandSensustechnologiespreferredbutnotrequired.
- Excellentcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills.
- Ability to manage budget plans for a department
- Willingness to travel 10 - 20% of time (additional travel may be required during large training events such as Xylem Reach conference)
- Abilitytoleadcross functionalteamsandmanagemultipleprojectssimultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Familiaritywithinstructionaldesigntoolsandlearningmanagementsystems.
- Provenexperienceintrainingprogrammanagement.
