The Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) represents the interests of approximately 160000 professional and undergraduate full-time and part-time university students at nine student associations across Ontario. OUSA is run by a Steering Committee made up of elected student representatives from each of our member university.
The General Assembly of the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) is the highest governing body of this provincial lobbying organization. Decisions made at General Assembly are binding upon OUSA and policies passed become representative of students across Ontario. As such being a GA delegate requires a high level of responsibility. Should you be selected you will primarily be representing the interests of the McMaster Students Union (MSU). It will be your duty to ensure that policy passed at General Assembly is useful and relevant to McMaster Students.
The Winter General Assembly will be held fully in-person at LaurentianUniversity. Delegates are required to be in-person for the duration of the General Assembly. All delegates will have their travel accommodation and food costs covered.
Fall Session When: Thursday October 23 Sunday October 262025
Where: Laurentian University SudburyON
Selection Process
There will be two stages to the selection process. Interested applicants will be required to submit their application here followed by a group interview process that will be facilitated by the Vice-President (Education) and the Associate Vice-President: Provincial & Federal Affairs.
Applicant Criteria
In order to attend OUSA General Assembly applicants must:
- Be an MSU member (full-time undergraduate taking 18 units or more or students who transfer through MAPS-MSU Transferability Agreement).
- Be available for training on the week of October 6 (training day TBA training will be in-person but accommodations can be discussed)
- Be FULLY available in Sudbury Thursday October 23 Sunday October 26 2025
