Summary: This role is dedicated to supporting students with special needs in achieving their intellectual emotional physical and social growth. The ideal candidate is a certified educator with experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting curricula to diverse learning needs. This position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by ensuring students access high-quality instruction individualized support and a safe inclusive learning environment. What You’ll Do: - Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students families and the Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee.
- Adapt curriculum instructional strategies and classroom activities to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
- Conduct assessments to determine student learning styles and monitor progress through ongoing evaluation.
- Support student development through effective instructional methods therapeutic interventions and appropriate use of technology.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers staff and resource professionals to ensure successful student inclusion and support.
- Manage classroom behavior intervene in crisis situations and administer discipline in accordance with IEPs and district policy.
- Maintain accurate records reports and documentation as required by state and district guidelines.
Experience You’ll Need: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.
- Familiarity with ARD Committee processes and IEP goal setting/implementation.
- Knowledge of curriculum adaptation instructional modification and behavioral management for special education students.
- Experience from student teaching internship or comparable professional role.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with parents students and staff.
